wonderful workshops

I have just returned from Ottawa where I had been invited by the wonderful doll club  All Dolled Up to teach a sculpting class. It was a fantastic weekend where I saw old friends and met new ones. It is always exciting to be surrounded by individuals who are eager to embrace their creativity and step outside the box and try new things. Fun was had by all. This group certainly knows how to treat visting teachers. I certainly felt like a VIP. During my visit I was fortunate to be put up at a fellow doll makers home. Edwina Sutherland could not have been a more gracious host. She took me on a wonderful tour of the city, which ended with the highlight- a visit to her studio. It is always inspiring to see another artist's space and their work. She is a wonderfull soft sculpture and felting artist as well as a historical costumer for museums and theatre. check out her website and her blog to see some of her wonderful creations.
