Look what's flown into the Vintage Pixie....

These little dragonflies have landed, just in time for Mother's Day~

great to stick in the garden,

in a windowbox,

or flower pot.

and don't forget that dragonflies eat mosquitos....

so I'm hoping these guys will scare all those nasty bugs away.

"Goup of Eleven" Mosaic Window Workshop

New mosaicists are revealed in this latest Mosaic Window workshop.

For one day, this group assembled in the new workshop, with their determination, creativity, ideas and inspirations, to produce their own work of glass mosaic art.

There was some serious concentration going on.

Its all about finding that perfect pieces of glass, with so many colours and textures to choose from...

Once the adhesive is cured, we met again in the garage workshop to dig into pails of mud-like grout, filling in the spaces between all those carefully placed glass pieces.

Then it was scraping and cleaning of the excess grout, to show the glass peeking through.

Just a little elbow grease and some cleaning cloths....

some buffing and shining....and the brilliant work of art is revealed!

and so, now for the BEST part!

Another successful workshop and some happy artists.

Group workshops can be scheduled at your convenience, just give us a call and we can schedule a date.
OR, if you would just like to come work on your own projects, check out our Open Mosaic dates on the workshop list.

New work from the new Vintage Pixie workspace!

My new work studio has rejuvenated my imagination and the creative juices are flowing!

I am loving all the space with delightful comforts.
Sometimes it is hard to tear myself away from my work table.

I even enjoy putting things away!
A space for everything and everything in its space.

Here are some of my first Faerie inspirations to come out of the new workspace ....

"Charlie" & his dog "Pip"

.... some sweet little girls in their Sunday best ....

.... and lively dancers, showing off their moves, fancy dancewear and shoes full of colour and whimsy!

Creative Juices Flow

An excited group of gals gathered to learn the art of mosaic glass. The ideas and creativity abounded and they jumped right in. As pictures began to emerge, excitement grew...

the new studio space proved to be very inspiring and conducive to creativity

...then comes the elbow grease and a little mess. Slowly colour begins to emerge...

I present some very happy gals with there masterpieces. Great job by all!
