2012 Funky Junk & Treasure Sale is over, already working on treasures for next year!

Funky Junk & Treasures displays are set up ....

and ready for the rush!

The gate opened at 10am and the pickers begin the hunt.

The day was sunny and warm, we couldn't have asked for a better day.

Many happy customers left with re-funked pieces, or projects for their own creative fun.

The Pixie Pickers are eagerly looking forward to beginning the hunt to bring home treasures for the next sale to be held in June 2013!

Many, many thanks to everyone who came out and especially to all my Pixie friends for all of their time & assistance!

Mushrooms are sprouting all over the city...

It has been a whirlwind of activity here at Vintage Pixie Studio the last few weeks.

As well as preparing for the wildly successful 2nd Annual Funky Junk & Treasure Sale, it was business as usual around the shop, as you will see in the next few posts.

Another mosaic mushroom workshop produced these pretties
to brighten more gardens.
there is still a chance to make one for your garden in our
next workshop July 4th and 5th.

and here is some of the dirty work that went into those creations!

Faerie Cottages go Funky!

``````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
Sunday was a perfect day for building a cottage!
A dozen builders gathered in the workshop to produce some spectacular,  colourful & funky faerie cottages.
It didn't take these ladies long to get up to their elbows in mud, searching for the perfect stones, glass and gems to accessorize their creations.
 It seemed everyone was ready for some colour in their houses!
Maybe it was the bright sunny day and blooming flowers that were the inspiration following the big rains.
Their was lots of decorating and landscaping around the cottages.
As usual, there was lots of laughter from the shop filling the neighbourhood.
The effort, concentration and imagination paid off with the completion of these fine homes for some lucky creatures (real or fantasy)!
May 27 Mosaic Class
Hi Everyone,
Things have been happening at the studio this week!
The big story, was the floods in Thunder Bay.
Here, we were very fortunate to only have had a bit of a trickle into the drain.
Our hearts go out to all or our fellow citizens who have had more than their share of water problems.
Like everyone else, we are doing our best not to use water unless necessary.
Last Sunday, was the Mosaic Window Workshop. A couple of the ladies chose to do the Mosaic Mushroom, as well.
We had a great time, as you will see in the photos.....
.....and some fabulous creations were grouted....
......and completed on Wednesday evening!
