Autumn has arrived at Vintage Pixie Studio
The days are shorter, the air is crisp and the wonderful array of colours help us welcome the many facets of autumn.

A lot has been happening at Vintage Pixie Studio and we are excited to bring you our fall and early winter workshops. We have some new classes with guest artists and some favorites are running again.This is a great opportunity to make some of your Christmas gifts.

All of our workshops are designed for all skill levels. You take home a completed project no matter your experience.

Mosaic window

Wednesday, October 14, 6 pm-9:30 pm

 Back by popular demand. There is nothing more stunning than sunlight through stain glass. In this workshop you will learn basic mosaic skills to create a lovely window. We supply all materials as well as an assortment of patterns to choose from. Students can bring their own picture.  You will return Tuesday evening to grout and polish your window.


Needle Felted Mouse

Sunday, October 18, 10am-4pm
Create this adorable critter while learning how to needle felt. He has a wire structure so can be posed in many adorable positions. He is a great addition to your fall and Christmas decorating.
All materials supplied including a light lunch.
Sculpting Santa's Helper
Saturday October 24 10 am-4 pm
Sun., October25, 10 am-4 pm
$250.00 (this includes kit fee)
For the first time, this is a 2 day workshop. You will learn step by step techniques to sculpt an elf in polymer clay. We will sculpt the head, hands and feet. and apply them to a wire armature. We will learn some basic costuming, painting and hair application. You will have a completed sculpture by the end of the 2nd day.
A light lunch will be provided each day. This workshop is for all skill levels. Students require a knitting needle and scraps of fabrics for costuming.
Fibre Art Landscape
Tuesday, October 27 6pm-9:30pm
Thursday, October 29  6pm-9:30pm

In this workshop you will be working with fibres to create a gorgeous work of art. You will learn basic needle felting, simple free motion embroidery and embellishment with beads and ribbon.  This is for all skill levels. We provide the supplies and on the second evening students are required to bring  a sewing machine with assorted threads that is able to drop the feed dog. Please know how to operate your sewing machine-we don't teach sewing.
Designer Wrap Bracelet
Wednesday, November 4, 6 pm -9:30 pm
Wrap bracelets are all the rage in fashion these days. In this workshop you will learn the technique while creating your own bracelet, just in time for party season. All skill levels welcome.
Let it Snow, Let it Snow...
Thursday, November 5, 6 pm-9:30pm 
 Sculpt this whimsical snowman encased in a glass cloche. You will learn basic clay sculpting as well as painting and embellishing. All Materials included.
Father Christmas Spindle
 Sunday, November 8, 10am-4pm
 In this workshop you will learn step by step techniques to sculpt a Santa face in polymer clay. We will sculpt the head, as well as embellish his stand and colour, beard and finish this adorable seasonal figure. Polymer clay will be provided. Students are required to have a knitting needle for sculpting.   All skill levels welcome.
Soap making 101
Monday, November 9  6:30-9pm
Monday, November 16 6:30-9pm
 Make and wrap 11 wonderful bars of traditional soap using the saponification process. You will learn how your choice of ingredients affects the quality of the soap you use every day . 1st evening ....soap kitchen;  2nd evening soap cutting and wrapping. This workshop can be done with a partner and the bars of soap split.
Felted Santa Gnome  Tuesday November 10
These quaint St. Nicks are great fun to create. While learning needle felting, you can create one of these charming fellows in any colour to match your seasonal decorating. All materials supplied. All skill levels welcome.
Felted Frosty
 Thursday, November 12, 6pm-9:30pm

This adorable fellow will be constructed using wet and needle felting. He will be embellished with some embroidery and recycled clothing. All materials supplied.
Open Mosaic Nights
every Wednesday up to and including
Wednesday October 28
6 pm-9:30pm
Open nights are for those of you that have previously taken a mosaic workshop with us and would like to do another project. We provide the space, adhesive and assistance if needed, you bring the project. Glass and bases are available to purchase on site. we ask that you call to register before just dropping in.
