Having a retail shop has allowed me to meet so many interesting and creative people. One such visitor is an extremely talented photographer. Laura Heerema has made a name for herself doing portraits for many families in Thunder Bay. She was kind enough to do some photos of my work for me, and they couldn't have turned out better. I am thrilled with them. I thought I would share a bunch of them so you can see what I have been working on for the One of A Kind show in Toronto.

The Pixie Pickers have returned from our travels with loads of wonderful vintage goodies. Great times were had, while we hunted and scavenged flea markets and vintage shops. It is always exciting to look for the perfect items to bring home and see where the trends are heading in vintage décor. It can be almost overwhelming. Here is just a sampling of what was at one of the flea markets we visited.

Of course there is always downtime. We had to take advantage of the famous "Bloody Mary's" at one flea market. They come with  almost a full meal and a beer chaser. What better way to regroup and energize for the next bit of junking...

As summer comes to an end, days are starting to get shorter, mornings are crisper and its a little quieter as children have returned to the classroom. This is also a time when garden and summer workshops are winding down. It has been a creative summer with many beautiful creations heading to new homes...
