Open Mosaic Nights

Open nights are for those of you that have previously taken a mosaic workshop with us and would like to do another project. We provide the space, adhesive and assistance if needed, you bring the project. Glass and bases are available to purchase on site. we ask that you call to register before just dropping in.

Open nights are for those of you that have previously taken a felting workshop with us and would like to do another project. We provide the space and assistance if needed, you bring the project. Soapmaking 101
Monday April 4, 6:30-9pm

Make and wrap 11 wonderful bars of traditional soap using the saponification process. You will learn how your choice of ingredients affects the quality of the soap you use every day. 1st evening is "soap kitchen"; 2nd evening is soap cutting and wrapping. This workshop can be done with a partner and the brs of soap split

Create this adorable critter while learning the art of needle felting. You will also learn to make a wire armature so your bunny is fully poseable in many cute positions. Just in time for your spring decorating.

In this workshop you will be working with fibres to create a gorgeous work of art. You will learn basic needle felting, simple free motion embroidery and embellishment with beads and ribbon.  This is for all skill levels. We povide the supplies and on the second evening students are required to bring  a sewing machine with assorted threads that is able to drop the feed dog. Please know how to operate your sewing machine-we don't teach sewing

 

sculpting a sprout
 Sunday, May 1st 10-4pm

 The sprout or baby fairy class is one day, no experience required. They will be bundled in hand dyed fabrics and embellished. Students will have a completed a sprout at the end of the day. Students are required to bring a knitting needle as their sculpting tool. All other materials supplied.

 

 

sculpting a Petite Fleur

In this 2 day workshop you will sculpt a young fairy or child. This is a full body sculpt. The adorable costuming and embellishing will be done on day two. No experience required. Students are required to bring a knitting needle for sculpting on day one, and a basic sewing kit (scissors, needle, thread, pins) for day two. All other supplies will be supplied

Sculpting Santa's Helper

For the first time, this is a 2 day workshop. You will learn step by step techniques to sculpt an elf in polymer clay. We will sculpt the head, hands and feet. and apply them to a wire armature. We will learn some basic costuming, painting and hair application. You will have a completed sculpture by the end of the 2nd day.

A light lunch will be provided each day. This workshop is for all skill levels. Students require a knitting needle and scraps of fabrics for costuming.

 

Fibre Art Landscape

 Sculpt this whimsical snowman encased in a glass cloche. You will learn basic clay sculpting as well as painting and embellishing. All Materials included.

 

Father Christmas Spindle  Sunday, November 8, 10am-4pm $75.00  In this workshop you will learn step by step techniques to sculpt a Santa face in polymer clay. We will sculpt the head, as well as embellish his stand and colour, beard and finish this adorable seasonal figure. Polymer clay will be provided. Students are required to have a knitting needle for sculpting.   All skill levels welcome. We supply your frame, glass and adhesive and safety glasses. Students are required to bring glass nippers. mosaic-ing your piece.  You will return Monday evening to grout and polish your design.
